Thomas Schiller

Thomas Schiller currently works as a Corporate Citizenship Affairs Manager for a German Industrial Company. Moreover, he teaches international relations at the University Koblenz-Landau, Germany. From 2007 to 2011 he was the head of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation's Regional Programme Maghreb, responsible for the offices in Rabat (Morocco), Algiers (Algeria) and Tunis (Tunisia). Prior to his stay in North Africa, Mr. Schiller held positions as a Foreign and European Policy Advisor in the German Parliament, as a desk officer for European Affairs in the Bavarian State Chancellery, and as a research assistant with the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP).

 

Mr. Schiller studied Political Science, History, and Economics at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. He also graduated from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po).

 

Mr. Schiller is the author of numerous publications on Middle East and North African affairs, transformation processes in the Arab world, international relations, European affairs and Franco-German relations. He is fluent in German, French, and English.
